Athabasca University, Canada’s Open University, invites applications for an Academic Coordinator, Nursing, within the Centre for Nursing and Health Studies (CNHS), Faculty of Health Disciplines (FHD). 

The incumbent in this position will be highly motivated, self-directed, and will possess a strong, current theoretical and clinical background in medical surgical nursing, community health nursing or mental health nursing as well as outstanding communication skills. Responsibilities will include online theory instruction, evaluation of students’ learning, and provision of direct clinical supervision to students in acute and community settings.

This is an AUFA full-time term position ending December 31, 2018.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Successful candidates will possess a baccalaureate degree in nursing and a Master’s degree, preferably in nursing. An earned doctorate in nursing or a related field of study would be a definite asset. Candidates must be eligible for active registration with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Experience in online nursing education is required.
