Please note that this competition allows for a job share opportunity with multiple successful candidates. The FTE allotment offered to candidates may range from 0.2 FTE to 0.8 FTE dependent on workload and operational needs. The FTE will remain consistent throughout the contract period of the appointment.

 

Athabasca University, Canada's Open University, invites applications for a temporary full-time (1.0 FTE) Academic Coordinator, Counseling Psychology, within the Graduate Centre for Applied Psychology (GCAP), Faculty of Health Disciplines (FHD). 

The incumbent in this position will be highly motivated, self-directed, and will possess a strong, current theoretical and clinical background counseling psychology as well as outstanding communication skills. Responsibilities will include online theory instruction, participation as a team member among the GCAP faculty, involvement in the program development, and evaluation of students' learning. 

 

Qualificatons:

Successful candidates will possess an earned doctorate in psychology or a related field of study. Candidates must be a registered psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychology or the regulating body within their province. Experience in online education is required.
