The primary goal of the administrative course assistant within the Faculty of Business is to provide a consistently excellent level of service to students through accurate and timely processing of grades. The administrative course assistant provides administrative support to academics, academic experts, and markers to ensure smooth course delivery through several delivery modes in Undergraduate Studies.

Once internal applicants have been given first consideration, as per Article 11.02 (a), the hiring committee may consider applicants that do not meet all the required qualifications.  These applicants would be considered at a Range 3 classification level with a comprehensive training plan.  We encourage all interested applicants to apply.


  • Grade 12 plus postsecondary training (office administration certificate or business diploma preferred) and three or more years related work experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • self-motivated and demonstrated ability to work under pressure
  • ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines essential
  • excellent knowledge of English grammar critical
  • high keyboarding speed and accuracy required
  • knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and database entry and retrieval systems required
  • excellent interpersonal and organizational skills [listening, interpretive, and oral] required to identify, corroborate, and resolve student difficulties
  • Knowledge of Newton, Banner, and exam scanner systems beneficial
