Athabasca University's Learning Services Tutorial Department is seeking an Individualized Study Tutor for the following course:

PSYC 290: General Psychology

Qualifications and Experience Required: A minimum of a Master's degree in Psychology is required (PhD preferred). The successful candidate will have subject matter expertise in psychology and familiarity with the core content areas typically covered in an introductory psychology course. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing academic assistance to students, marking assignments, and assigning and recording final grades. Teaching experience at the post-secondary level is required. Experience in distance learning and familiarity with digital teaching technologies and online course delivery are preferred. Experience with adult education and online course delivery using Brightspace is considered an asset.

In addition to the relevant academic credentials noted above, this position requires excellent communication, organizational, administrative, and computer skills. The successful candidate should demonstrate the ability to maintain high academic standards, maintain accurate student records, and return students' work promptly in accordance with the University's required service standards. Candidates must own or have access to a computer and reliable internet connection capable of supporting communication with the University and students, as well as running any applications required to perform tutorial support duties.

Non-doctoral prepared employees: $265.81 prorated per block, per biweekly pay.

Doctoral-prepared employees: $276.44 prorated per block, per biweekly pay.
